Love is a Gypsy Child is a personal artwork more than a decade in the making: a 6,119-frame “cinematic novel” written in TextEdit and illustrated in Photoshop. The finished frames are presented within a purpose-built iOS app. Every aspect is chosen, composed, and authored to create an experience at the intersection of comics, animation, and poetry … a kind of visual music.

The Story

Jenni is a young girl who sees her own way, living in an apartment on Central Park West, alongside a menagerie of human and non-human kin. When her grandmother Vera arrives from across the water, the family throws a welcome party, and a web of strange connections begins to unfold.
